This week, the dedicated team of in-home and activity center staff at NOVA West Island's Senior Activity Program participated in an enriching Professional Development Safety Program (PDSP) training course. This comprehensive training is specifically designed to enhance the team’s knowledge and application of safe movement principles when assisting our senior clientele.
The PDSP Certification is a crucial program to equip healthcare personnel with the necessary skills to protect their physical well-being while safely facilitating patient transfers. By integrating these best practices, our staff are better prepared to ensure the safety, dignity, and comfort of those we care for every day.
Special thanks go to Jacques Durand for sharing his invaluable expertise throughout the session. His guidance has further empowered our team to deliver care with even greater confidence and safety. We also wish to extend our gratitude to all participants for their unwavering commitment to the well-being of our community’s seniors.
At NOVA West Island, our mission is to support the community with compassion and excellence, and this week’s training is yet another step toward fulfilling that promise.
