In 1998, inspired by the charm of "charity thrift shops" in England, a visionary West Island resident, alongside a dedicated group of volunteers, opened the doors to Le Coin des Trouvailles on the main street of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. What began as a humble thrift store soon blossomed into something much larger. By 2004, the Ste-Anne Volunteer Health Support Foundation was born, and it has since become a key lifeline in the community, receiving and selling donations that help fund our mission.

Over the past 25 years, this incredible group of more than 350 volunteers, including our dedicated Board members, has raised nearly $11 million for NOVA West Island. These funds have allowed us to provide essential healthcare services to the most vulnerable members of our community, transforming lives with professional in-home care, including palliative, cancer, and ALS support.

We are profoundly grateful to this longstanding and generous partner. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in enabling us to meet the ever-evolving needs of our aging population. Thanks to them, we can continue to offer compassionate care to those who need it most and ensure the ongoing success of all our vital programs.
The Thrift Shops are staffed by volunteers who play an essential role in the daily operation of the 5 stores. If you would like to become a volunteer, please contact them by telephone, in person or at volunteers@thriftshopsfornova.com.
