🧠June, Alzheimer & Brain Awareness Month🧠

June holds special significance as it is recognized as Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month. This global observance provides a valuable opportunity to raise awareness and facilitate discussions about Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. With more than 55 million individuals worldwide living with these conditions, it is crucial that we unite to make a positive impact.

At NOVA West Island, we recognize the importance of supporting seniors with Alzheimer's, dementia, or cognitive impairments that result in short-term memory loss. Our Senior Activity Program and Services are specifically tailored to empower and enhance the lives of individuals facing these challenges.

During this month, we encourage everyone to join the movement by wearing purple, the symbolic color of Alzheimer's awareness. Additionally, let us make a collective effort to train our brains and engage in activities that promote cognitive health. By doing so, we contribute to the fight against Alzheimer's and demonstrate our dedication to improving the lives of those affected.

Together, let's commemorate the seniors within our community and empower them to live fulfilling lives. Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to support and uplift individuals facing these conditions.
